The Vancouver Island Lacrosse League has reached the halfway point of the 2024 season and there have been some changes in the standings from last season.

At present your top 2 are last years' top notables, the Express (8-0) and the Blazers (8-1) sitting 1st and 2nd but with those two on top, the real teams to watch in the standings is the dog fight we have from 3rd to 6th. The Thunder have climbed their way into 3rd place and sit with 8 points and right behind them are the Jokers, Firefighters and resurrected Tugmen all with 7 points and any one of these teams can be thrusted into 3rd place this evening with victories tonight.

The Aces sit in 7th with 4th place, three points up on the Rats who are peeking out of their holes in the wall, waiting for that time to run out and get their piece of the cheese.

Lots of games this week with a doubleheader tonight at Archie Browning, tomorrow at Panorama Arena, and then back to Archie on Thursday before teams head to the Cowichan Community Centre to give the Rats and Thunder home games on Saturday.

Come one, come all. Games are "free"!
